Ginger

As usual, when there is a new cria on our farm, we have our cria naming discussion. As a family we decide on the name. The dam (mother) is new to our farm, so this is a brand new family tree for us. We like to use a theme for the names in each family tree. But, since her dam's name is Straightfork Vanilla Latte, it was easy to pick "drink names" as her theme.

After much discussion, we came up with: Eclipse' Ginger Ale

Eclipse is the name of her sire, so to honor him and the farm they came from we decided to start with that. Then the drink name. Her farm nick name will be "Ginger".

Today was a beautiful warm and sunny day, so we took the cria coats off Ginger. She was able to run and play and soak up the sun. I got a few pictures of her with her dam (mom) and of course Rose had to get in on a picture too.
