Some of my friends and colleagues do a fantastic job of hosting Open Houses here in Ontario...some with carnival atmospheres almost.
I do appreciate the effort that goes into open houses. I used to do it twice a year as I was part of a studio tour. People do really enjoy it, but it takes a lot to coordinate safety (parking patrol, keeping kids away from farm equipment, ensuring people don't bring their dogs) as well as the someone to lead the education component.
